Welcome
Harsiddhi Shakti temple was established by a group of local hindus looking to promote their religion and love for the Mother Goddess Durga Devi. Our temple had it's humble beginnings in Hyattsville, maryland around 1994. In the year 2001, we purchase a modest plot of land to house a small temple. In 1994
Our Mission
Promote and educate the regional DC area Hindu community about Sanatan Dharma, practice our ancient form of worship through puja, satsang, and religious discourse. Our goal is to establish, build, foster, and operate a tradition Hindu Temple. We promote religious, spiritual, cultural, and civic educational and social improvment among those who belong to the hindu faith.
Religous Occasionals
Our temple offers a modest setting for your most sacred celebrations; weddings, birthdays, anniversarys, religious festivals, and sacred sanskars. We offer religious healing through customized prayers based on your vedic astrology readings, navagraha puja, and extensive homas (fire sacrifice).
Services
Weekly Abhishekam and Puja is held every Sunday Morning at 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Refreshments may be provided.

Latest News
Weekly Abhishekam of 3 ft Shiva linga, Parvati, Ganesha, Venkatesha, Hanuman, and 1.5 ft navagraha murtis, all of South Indian design and celebrating 4nd year anniversary in Sept 2023.
In 2021 we improved the temple entrance with stone walls and widen the driveway and concrete work at the temple entrance walkway. This project costed $5,000.

In 2022 we enclosed the walkway between buildings. Thanks for the generous donation of building materials and windows.

In 2023 we plan to enclose the outdoor havan area to improve wind and cold weather havan ceremonies, add aramandapa (entrance porch with kalasha) to front of temple entrance. Also Order custom made brass vasuki naaga and crown 3 ft linga.
